🏎️ Indy Friends: Today is Baan Thai Bistro’s Grand Opening! I’ve been seeing nothing but rave reviews both for the food and the atmosphere! They have indoor and outdoor dining as well as takeout. To all the mothers out there who have lost their baby, Just two more days to donate to my annual fundraiser in honor of Amos’ 5th birthday. I mailed 100 resource cards to McLaren Hospital in Lansing today. They are the 31st Amos’ Anchors Affiliate to be added to our list of hospitals, businesses, care providers, and organizations across the Midwest that support Amos’ Anchors by distributing our care cards and sharing our website to the bereaved individuals and families they serve. I blinked. We’ve been loving our @bloombunnyshop filsat boards for fine motor play this spring! 💐🌈 Only the caregiver that carries the majority of the weight of the mental load will understand what a triumph this is (because the likelihood of that person being the one that is responsible for this kind of stuff is pretty darn high). I have officially switched out all three kids’ clothes for the season and made sure that all of the clothes in the boxes are labeled correctly with the right size. It took me about six hours. 😮‍💨 🍀 4-H isn’t just about farm animals! It’s about learnings hands on about whatever your kid wants to learn about - sometimes from experts in that field. In years past we’ve done projects with legos, art, pottery, and leather working. Trigger warning: pregnancy loss Wish I could go back and tell her of her power and strength, about what doesn’t actually matter, about where to find the love she deserves, about what and whom to let of and what and whom to embrace. Wish I could tell her how much I miss being her- passionate with contagious optimism and a sense of possibility and adventure, more carefree and wild, her mischievousness and daring and lighter heart, her boundless energy and the warm glow of her view of the future. Instead I’ll just sit in view of her, on the edge of monumental shifts, just before she finds the courage to move forward and away from where she’s been and into an entirely different chapter. It’s about to be so wonderful in an entirely new way, and she has no idea the lessons she’ll learn or the luck that will play out in her favor. She has no burden of knowledge or even the sense to be afraid. She’s just excited for what comes next.
